Poranga Project

About the Project

This is a project by the Centro de Odontologia Integrada Simone Carrara that aims to “PLANTAR RIO”. The idea is simple. With the planting of native seedlings characteristic of our region, we intend to be able to resume the natural course of rivers that have dried up.

The technique of re-vegetating gallery forests to recover water sources has been extensively studied and offers remarkable results, which is why it has gained our attention.

The project began in June 2008 and has special partnerships, such as agronomist Rodrigo Studart and forestry engineer Ricardo Nunes, who will be responsible for technical planning and planting coordination.

This initiative has been making our team, our patients and partners very happy and has earned the name it bears: PORANGA. From Tupi-Guarani, BEAUTIFUL.
