- Identity validation to ensure the correct treatment application, prevent fraud, unauthorized transactions, and ensure the integrity and security of our transactions;
- Evaluation, maintenance, and improvement of the security of our website, especially to prevent potential information security threats;
- Implementation of risk control and mitigation processes, accounting audit, billing, negotiation, and collection, receipt and investigation of complaints.
- Compliance with regulatory duty or legal obligation, for defense in legal or administrative proceedings by decision of a judicial or administrative authority.
- Registration and management processes on our websites and applications;
- Satisfaction surveys, service development, and improvement;

- We process sensitive data related to your health, considering that our activities are directly related to the guardianship of patients’ health, by accredited and highly qualified professionals.

3. Principles for the processing of personal data
Centro de Odontologia Integrada Simone Carrara bases its personal data processing practices on the principles established in the General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018):

Centro de Odontologia Integrada Simone Carrara transfers personal data to foreign companies, which store or host data at the request and under the control of the Clinic, with the specific purpose of fulfilling the execution of a contract or conducting preliminary procedures related to the contract, of which the data subject is a part.
7. Exercise of rights by data subjects
Centro de Odontologia Integrada Simone Carrara guarantees data subjects the exercise of their rights through access to our Data Protection Officer, available through the email [email protected].
Data subjects may exercise, free of charge, the following rights:
Confirmation of the processing of their personal data: Data subjects may request confirmation regarding the processing of their personal data by the Clinic;
Access to personal data: Data subjects may request access to the scope of personal data processed by the Clinic, as well as information about the processing and sharing of personal data with business partners;
Portability of personal data: Data subjects may request a report of personal data processed by the Clinic, for sharing with other companies.
Correction, updating, or supplementation of personal data: Data subjects may request the correction, updating, or supplementation of their personal data.
Review of automated decisions: Data subjects may request a review of decisions that have been made about them in an automated way, i.e., through the use of artificial intelligence and, therefore, without human intervention.
Opposition to the processing of personal data: Data subjects may request clarification and/or object to the processing of their personal data when they believe that such processing is irregular.
Blocking of the processing of personal data: Data subjects may request the temporary blocking of the processing of their data while correction or opposition requests are processed.
Deletion or Anonymization of personal data: Data subjects may request the deletion of their personal data and/or the anonymization of these when personal data has been obtained based on their consent or when they believe that this data is not necessary for the maintenance of the relationship they have with the Clinic.
Centro de Odontologia Integrada Simone Carrara also processes requests on behalf of third parties, enabling the exercise of rights by responsible parties, guardians, curators, and other legal representatives. In these cases, we require the presentation of documents proving legal authorization for this specific purpose, which must be provided through contact with the Data Protection Officer.

Occasionally, data of minors may be processed for dental care. In this case, the Clinic processes the necessary personal data to provide care, at the request and under the supervision of their legal guardian.

Centro de Odontologia Integrada Simone Carrara has appointed a Data Protection Officer, responsible for guiding the conduct of our activities in compliance with the law, as well as receiving complaints and communications from data subjects and authorities, and providing them with explanations.
